Here are MCMASTER FARM we are always looking for that one thing to keep us heading forward.  Whether it is at the sales, the  race track, or the breeding shed we are always looking to put the best product out their  that we possibly can, through Pedigree Analysis, And proper care of the horses.  We have a small staff , but they  are  very knowledgeable  of the horse world,  MCMASTER FARMS  farm manager  DAN BOIK   has done well with building a strong relationship with the thoroughbred industry in Michigan and in Kentucky as well.
   

MARILYN MCMASTER has been involved in the TB horse industry for 30 years.  She was first exposed to horses and horse racing by her late husband, Rolland, whom she met in Chicago 38 years ago.
They  became top breeders in the industry,

Marilyn was President of MTOBA for several years and helped initiate legislative changes ensuring Owners’ Awards and Sire Owners’ Awards for owners of MI bred horses. She also was a board member and team player on the MI HBPA  protecting breeders’ interests.

With the Michigan equine economics of the industry looking up, she feels there is a great future and opportunity for present breeders’ and owners and  new participants to involve themselves in this great sport.

She had removed herself from the politics of the industry to care for her late husband’s declining health but now is ready to make another difference in the Michigan industry with her involvement.

MARILYN owns a 100 acre farm in HARTLAND , MICHIGAN owning nearly 35 broodmares. And standing 5 stallions. 

DAN BOIK  started in the equine industry  20 + years ago as the local hay help in  ROMULUS, MICHIGAN. Finding ways to get out of the city  to enjoy the  world that has become his life, and passion. 
Meeting  his wife RENEE 20 + years ago  deserves all the credit in bringing DAN into the equine world, pulling him out of the hay fields and into the barn where they have worked side by side ever since.  
DAN has dedicating  the last 9 years to managing  MCMASTER FARM which at the time  stabled 13 horses   and now stables up to  80 to 100 on average.
DAN has the excitement and knowledge to go a long way in the thoroughbred industry. In just the past few years  he has brought a half a dozen new breeders and owners into the TB  industry each year.
Aside from his regular duties as farm and stallion manager he is also the stallion handler, mare , yearling , and weanling manager.  He also does all the  foaling of mares as well. Foaling anywhere from 35 to 40 mares yearly.
He  has spent many  years studying pedigree’s and has become well educated in pedigree analysis.
